DBT: Coming Soon

Tuesdays 3-4:30 pm in-person only.  

General Description: A structured therapeutic group designed to help individuals develop skills to manage emotional dysregulation, interpersonal conflicts, and distressing situations. Meets weekly and requires a commitment from group members for a minimum of six months.  

 

Eating Disorder Therapy Group 

Stacie Daily LMHC, CADC (Carroll)  

Tuesdays 12:30- 2:00 pm   in person and virtual option available 

A group that takes a therapeutic approach for those with eating disorders.  Goals of the group include addressing psychological, emotional, physical, nutritional, and relational difficulties, as well as providing peer support.  Disorders served- Anorexia Nervosa, Bulimia Nervosa, Binge Eating, Emotional eating, ARFID, and OSFED 

 

Emotion-Regulation: Coming this Fall

Thursdays 3-4:30pm over zoom 

DBT Based Emotion Regulation group on Zoom available to adult clients who struggle with emotions. This isn’t meant to be a replacement for individual therapy. It isn’t a process group where everyone needs to share deep secrets. It is a class designed to teach people how to understand, appreciate, and regulate emotions.  

 

Self-Love: Starting July 8th 

Morgan Walker, LMHC (Denison)  

Mondays 4:45-5:45pm in person only 

This group is designed to learn and practice self-love which will involve implementations such as coping skills, group activities, relationship building, and self-esteem building lessons. Specific to 7-9th graders who have experienced inpatient hospitalization.  

 

SUD specific Groups  

DOT- Reducing Recidivism: Ongoing  

Jennie Mier, CADC (Telehealth) 

Thursdays 5pm-6pm on zoom 

A CBT approach to reducing OWI recidivism. Designed to help clients with a variety of drinking behaviors, including those who report experiencing no alcohol-related problems and those who report experiencing more moderate problems or severe problems.  

 

 

DHS Specific: DCAT (Only available by referral from DHS): Ongoing

Tuesdays at 4-5 and 6-7pm on zoom  

 

This is a DHS specific specialized group offered to individuals referred for DCAT services by a DHS worker within Specific County with DCAT grant.  All individuals referred for these DCAT services by a DHS worker within will need to be referred to this specialized group. 

 

 

Teen Journaling; Ongoing

Wednesday 3-4pm on zoom  

Teen journaling group is an opportunity to meet with other teens that are dealing with similar situations. Together you can explore who you are, how substances have affected yourself and family.  We will explore change, personal inventories and build a plan for our futures. We will take into consideration good coping skills and how these can be used in every day life. 

 

(Women’s Trauma) Helping Women Recover: Substance Usage & Trauma Focused: Ongoing

Wednesday 4-5pm on zoom 

Helping Women Recover is a program specifically designed to meet the unique needs of women who are addicted to alcohol and other drugs or have co-occurring disorders. The Helping Women Recover program utilizes holistic healing to address four key issues women in recovery face of self, relationships, sexuality, and spirituality.  Topics that are covered in sessions include: defining self, sense of self, self-esteem, family of origin, mothers, mother myths, interpersonal violence, creating healthy relationships and support systems, sexuality and addiction, body image, sexual identity, sexual abuse, fear of sex while clean and sober, spirituality, prayer and meditation, and creating a vision.   

 

(Men’s Trauma) Helping Men Recover: Substance Usage & Trauma Focused: Ongoing

Monday 2-3 pm on zoom 

Helping Men Recover helps men gain a clear understanding of the impact of male socialization on the recovery process, consider the relational needs of men, and explore the issues of abuse and trauma.  The program model is organized into four modules that emphasize the core areas of men’s recovery: self, relationships, sexuality, and spirituality. Topics that are covered in sessions include: defining self, men in recovery, sense of self, men inside and out, men and feelings, family of origin, barriers to relationships, fathers, mothers, creating healthy relationships and support systems, effective communication and intimacy, sexuality and addiction, sexual identity, barriers to sexual health, healthy sexuality, spirituality, real men, and creating a vision.   

 

Relapse Prevention

Tuesdays 2-3pm on zoom 

The focus of the “Straight Ahead” group is on building and enhancing support networks for recovery in the community (12-step, family, friends) and on helping clients improve social skills, problem-solving, and perceptions of self-efficacy that foster recovery maintenance and prevention of relapse. Group topics covered include maintaining recovery efforts, social networks and recovery, finding a support group, family issues, communication and coping skills, managing stress and anger, and planning for the future.
