Clinical Depression

Posted February 7, 2022

Everyone feels sad or low at some point in their lives. This is also known as depression. Depression is a common mental health disorder. It ranges from mild, temporary episodes of sadness to severe, persistent depression. Clinical depression is the most severe and persistent form of depression. Signs and symptoms may include feelings of sadness and hopelessness, angry outbursts, irritability and frustration over small matters, and loss of interest in pleasurable activities. Symptoms are usually serious enough to cause noticeable problems in relationships and day-to-day activities and make working and studying difficult. Clinical depression can affect people of any age, including children. Help is available for those who need it, and people do improve with counseling and medications.
